• Fear of physical pain (paralysis or amputation)
• Fear of not being able to fulfil your responsibilities
• Fear of not getting enough support from your family or friends
• Fear of the unknown (What will happen the day you get disabled?)
6. What’s the most difficult thing about being disabled?
• Social stigma (people staring, etc.)
• Limited mobility
• It’s depressing because I can’t do the things I want to do

• To not be able to do the things I used to be able to do

• It’s hard to find a job.

• Absolutely! I miss walking so much!

• It took a few months to get used to it.

• The emotional support of people who “get it”
